Good Value – Hand Lawn Edger Critique

This product is excellent. Plenty of power, it does the job well. My old edger always seemed to want to come unplugged as I was using it and I didn’t seem to have that problem with the Edge Hog. I did much research before buying it and most of the reviews were very positive and I would tend to agree with them.

This unit is that powerful. Aside from the features mentioned above, the price/performance of the Edge Hog makes it an excellent value. It wasn’t very loud either. I will have to purchase a longer extension cord since I had to use two of them to reach all the areas we needed to edge.

I can dig a hole with my bare hands, so basically this edger just needs to be able to cut hot butter for me. If you have clay and rocks for a yard it may indeed not have enough power.

It has an extremely powerful motor and it guides perfectly. The blade is great and it gets the job done quickly easily and safely.

My husband had never edged before, doesn’t like anything not gas operated; but even he said the same thing. I would recommend it to anyone.

Yes, I’ve discovered that it is entirely possible to spend the entire weekend mowing the lawn. After fighting for several hours to edge my neglected sidewalks and driveway with a manual edger I finally gave in and bought the Edge Hog from B&D. No issues or flaws as far as I am concerned. Previously, I used to do edging with the string edger and spend a lot of time on my side walk and still not clean enough, but now it’s like a breeze and I want to do more. I purchased a Black & Decker Electric Mower about three years ago and it never worked properly, and had to be returned. I was happy to get a new product with a little reduction due to the box being a little beat up. I’m not the type of person to typically leave reviews. But wanted to leave one for this.

It worked better than expected and I am very happy. For the money it’s a great buy despite getting some strange looks from my women friends, I requested this for my birthday.

I can’t wait for 2 weeks to go by so I can convince myself I need to do it again. My neighbors were out checking it out, and they really need an edger. I figured this would be real easy. Wrong I made five passes going slow back and forth and it only cut about 50% of the grass that needed edging. If you want to maintain a nicely manicured lawn (and have access to outside electricity) this tool is as effective as gas powered units I’ve used. As always, I don’t mean me.

I was looking at the electric edgers since I didn’t think I’d be using it that much and frankly using an extension cord is not that big of a deal to me. WINDSHIELD CRACK.
