Did God KNOW that Adam and Eve were going to eat the fruit?

The writer of Genesis was unclear on the concept of "omnipotent". Much of the bible makes 'God' look like an idiot.

God gave them a choice between good and evil. They chose to disobey and give into temptation.

Hey, cut God some slack…..the world was new and he wasnt' sure what was going to happen. Besides, parents aren't perfect and sometimes make mistakes. He didn't let Adam or Eve choke to death – he just made them learn that they had to be responsible for their actions.

I'm sure he did which is my problem with it. How could Adam and Eve comprehend the consequences of this action? It would be like blaming a 4 year old for wrecking your car and not understanding the importance of having car insurance.

Yes he knew, when adam and eve ate the fruit they didn't release sin into the world they just became aware of sin, they became aware of good and evil, because they ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, this, being aware of good and evil made them accountable for their actions. and without being held accountable for our actions we could never reach perfection which is what God wants.

Yes………God is God and knows all things …….and you know you are going to die someday but you still fight to live………the same with God..God desired to have fellowship with us…….so he created man and yes he know they would sin but he knew he would send his son to die to restore us back to him……………His love is greater then any ones

The 'fruit' that Adam and Eve ate was not evil in nature. It is the fruit of Knowledge of Good and Evil (this is in the Bible, look it up) so instead of making us automatically sinners, it instead allowed us to pass from innocence to experience. That meant we have the choice to do either good or evil, because now we know what they mean. If we were truly 'innocent' we would not know anything at all, not even how to do good. We would just sit staring straight ahead and not even know to pull our hands out of a fire, though it hurt. The fruit allowed us to learn from our mistakes and eventually gain wisdom through experience. Why God did not want humanity to have that I cannot say. But perhaps the reason he put the fruit in the Garden is because every locked door begs a key.

God knows the end from the beginning. But He did not force them to eat it, it was a test that He knew they would fail.

God wants us to prove we are worthy by the choices we make, such as either accepting His Son Jesus as our Lord and Savior, or not. Thus, our rewards or punishments are based on our own free will decisions.

God also gave them freedom of Choice. They chose the incorrect path, with temptation. But God gave them the Chance to choose the correct path. Without temptation.

And to this day, God gives us a choice. To do right or wrong, to believe, or not to believe. This is the reason for this story.

Yes, He did know. He put it their anways because He had already decided on how He would redeam His people from their sin. He said to the serpent, "You will strike his heal and he will strike your head."

I believe that God knew exactly what was going to happen–not just the forbidden fruit part, but right down to the crucifixion part all before He made creation.

God's love and desire for community and wonderful perfection mixes together in all this to come up with waht we have today. We don't always see it as good for God's plan, but we don't have His perspective either.

You are given free choice and that is what GOD did.

That is the first example of having free will as far as christianity and those religions that believe in Adam and Eve.

Of course god knew….. don't all the believers tell us god is all knowing and all powerful? In fact, let's carry this one step further. Didn't god also create lucifer? So one could also ask the question, "What was god thinking???"

If god wanted a perfect world, it was certainly possible. The fact that the world is NOT perfect tells me that god is not perfect….. imperfection exists in us because god is imperfect.

And that leads me to my next belief. If we were created in god's image (and I'm guessing that means a spiritual image and not a physical image) that explains why there's so much wrong with the world. Again, imperfection leads to imperfection.

GOD educate us with rules .
GOD explain why not to do or do and what will happen if you do or not do.When GOD told them, ADAM and EVE are a full matured human not in a form of children and they know what to think and thought.GOD blamed ADAM for this first man default GOD rule coz ADAM was created to be leader and he should act and think wise although its was said that EVE keep pushing.

Yes…God knew even b4 He created Man….and BEFORE He created man, He knew Jesus would have to die for our reunification with God.
The reason why He went on even knowing that it would cost Jesus the worst suffering, is because otherwise man would never exist as a creation that CHOOSE´s the Lord….u see, mankind is the only creation that can choose between good and evil.And the price of choice is to suffer the consequences for our acts.
And the price was paid in the cross….

The one who did "choke" was not the one who ate the bone…Jesus "choke" the bone that Adam ate …He took our punishment.
Adam was NOT a child…he knew that he would choke.
Adam was smarter and more intelligent then you can ever imagine, he was the first man, created out of God directly…fully perfect and capable.Much more than anyone could ever dream to became physically and mentally improved.
Maybe I should put it like this:
"If God knew His creation was going to choose against Him, Why He would go on and create them knowing he would have to give His innocent son their deserved punishment?"
I believe the answer is:
To truly have someone to share His love….if Jesus never died for us, how we would know God´s great love?

Jehovah God gave the first human pair the gift of free will.They were able to make their own decisions.They had been given everything they could possibly want or need.As their creator,Jehovah gave them one command.It was a test of obedience,which they failed.
As creator of all things,Jehovah knows the beginning and the end.But He chooses not to.Instead he allows us the freedom to make our own choices.

The Bible makes clear that The creation in Genesis was Good. at that time there was no sin, no suffering and no death. why would God allow Adam and eve to sin knowing that it would bring death and destruction to the human race? If Adam had been created without the ability to choose then he would have simply been a Robot. Then If God Just made us as Robots , what would make God any different than a Brain washing **** Named ******? We wouldn't have freedom we would simply be brainwashed machines. A father cant make his children love him, they choose to love him because they have a free will.

The Bible Say's when we die we will stand before God and give an account of every thought word and deed. the Ten Commandments will be Gods standard so let's look at a few. Have you ever lied? Have you ever stolen something? ever looked with lust? ever used God's name in vain? If you have said yes to these questions, your guilty of breaking 4 of the Ten Commandments (I'm guilty also). The Bad news is that The Bible Say's if God Judges you and I according to our sins we will end up in Hell. Jesus suffered and died on the cross to take the punishment you deserve. repent (turn from sin) and trust Jesus as your Lord and savior and God will grant you eternal life.

NO. He gave us free will and he doesn't know what each individual will do with it.
